Wales follows Ireland's lead in plastic bag reduction

Last October Wales brought in a 5p charge for all single-use plastic bags in supermarkets.  As a result, their use has fallen dramatically, with some supermarkets reporting reductions of up to 96%.

Is encouraging consumers to buy less a good business model?

A clothing manufacturer that encourages their consumers to buy fewer items sounds like a company who’ve not thought through their business model too thoroughly.  But outdoor clothing manufacturer Patagonia do just that.

Encouraging recycling in the workplace

Here in the USEA office we're pretty good at recycling our waste, and keeping the amount of rubbish we send to landfill as low as possible.
